What we collect

When you use the contact form. Your name, email address and the message you send. We use these only to reply to you.

When you join the newsletter. Your email address, held by our email provider. You can unsubscribe from any email we send, and doing so removes you from the list.

When you simply read. Analytics data about how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate location by country, device type and how you arrived. This is collected only if you accept analytics cookies.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed below, and only so they can perform their function.

Who processes data for us

How long we keep it

Contact form messages are kept while the conversation is useful and deleted when it is not. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to the provider's standard retention period.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to how it is used, and to receive a copy of it. Write to theeditrule@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
